Quilters Cottage is a full-service quilt store positioned near southwest Houston in Richmond, Texas.  We are easily accessible to Sugar Land, Katy, Missouri City, and Richmond/Rosenberg quilters. We offer 100% cotton fabrics, Longarm Quilting Services, notions, and gifts. Quilters Cottage is located about one mile north of Highway 90A, nestled in a row of charming shops near Pecan Grove.

Owner Debbie Bertrand opened the doors of Quilters Cottage in March of 2006. More than 6,000 bolts of fabric from Hoffman, Robert Kaufman, RJR, P&B, Moda, Bali Fabrications, Island Batiks, Red Rooster, Michael Miller, Kona Bay, Island Sea Imports, Andover, Timeless Treasures, Henry Glass, and Loralie Designs are stocked throughout our 4,000 sq. feet of quaint space. 

Our notions wall is full of the latest in quilter’s tools and toys from Thangles, Fons and Porter, Omnigrid, Martelli, June Tailor, Olfa, Clover, Marti Michell, Roxanne, Colonial, Klasse, John James, Jeanna Kimball and many other notable companies.

Hundreds of the latest books and patterns for piecing, appliqué, design and quilting are available in our Book Nook, and we are also an authorized Janome Sewing Machine dealer.
We showcase a fun variety of gift items that are perfect for celebrating a special birthday, holiday, or that perfect “secret sister” gift. Gift cards are also available.  Featherweight 221 antique sewing machines in full working condition are always available in the shop.
The last Saturday of every month is “Build Your Stash” day.  A selection of fabrics are chosen and priced at a discount allowing you to build your stash with new, wonderful fabrics.  We also invite you to join us for our sew–ins on Friday mornings.  Bring a sewing project and join other area quilters for a day filled with sewing and camaraderie. 

Classes are available at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels and our Technical Skills Series is designed to help quilters learn new techniques or brush up on rusty skills.  Our staff is friendly, knowledgeable and eager to help with fabric choices, problem projects, and positive strokes.

When your project is finished, we offer in-store custom Long Arm quilting on our 2 new Gammill Optimum Plus machines with an extensive pattern selection and thread assortment to chose from. We certainly hope to see you soon and often! Stop by and meet some wonderful new quilting friends.
